Welcome to the new @セサミストリート, where the word on the street this season is C-H-A-N-G-E. After 45 years on @pbsofficial, Big Bird, Elmo and the rest of the @セサミストリート crew are settling into a renovated set as well as a new TV home on the premium cable network @hbo. But even though the show and a couple of its characters have moved — Oscar the Grouch has received a recycling bin and Big Bird’s nest has moved to a tree — @セサミストリート is sticking to its mission of using entertainment media to educate kids. The show will face one new challenge, though: remaining relevant to a generation of children who don’t see the difference between a TV and a mobile phone screen. The photographer @dollyfaibyshev visited the @セサミストリート set at Kaufman Astoria Studios in Queens, where she captured this visitor taking a #selfie with the, hug-loving bilingual monster Rosita. Season 46 of @セサミストリート starts Saturday morning.
