A Tro-Motörhead tribute to Lemmy. Back in 1999, when I first moved to Los Angeles from New York, Lloyd Kaufman (for whom I had done the audio commentary for "Bloodsucking Freaks" as 'blood and guts expert') called and asked if I wanted a cameo in the new Toxic Avenger: Citizen Toxie. Better yet; the cameo was with Lemmy Kilmister. I was there before he hung up the phone. Lemmy was so cool, very cordial, fun, and during one take I just randomly turned to him and said "I love you Lemmy" and without even blinking he just replied "I know you do, love." And the scene went on. We were looking at nothing, just reacting to catastrophe but it took all I had to not crack up. I love his music, I was just rocking out to "Cradle to the Grave" yesterday thinking about the lyrics as I ran. I woke up today to the sad news. Mike McCarty, who did make up effects on both Hostel films, used to karaoke to "The Ace of Spades" at the Harley Bar in Prague. His Lemmy was so good they let him sing on the bar and would light it on fire during the rendition. The whole crew would go insane, it's some of the most fun memories of my life. Lenny's music just had that effect on you. Thank you Lemmy for all the years of rocking good times you gave us. Search out this amazing tribute Troma did to the great Lemmy Kilmister, which has some clips from us in Citizen Toxie. It's called a Tro-Motörhead tribute to Lemmy. http://youtu.be/8jHoGpwOVqU
