Norwich 2-0 Villa – FT: Villa’s hopes of a second-half fightback were dashed by a late header from Dieumerci Mbokani. The Norwich forward converted Wes Hoolahan’s cross three minutes from time to add to Jonny Howson’s first-half effort. The introduction of Adama Traore brought some life to Villa’s attacks but the claret and blues couldn’t find a way back. Jordan Ayew’s free-kick was brilliantly kept out by Declan Rudd in stoppage time but by then the Canaries were already home and dry. #AVFC #NCFC #NORAVL
