At the end of the day, we all curate a life on this thing. We share our highs and lows, usually under the umbrella of comedy. One thing that I find stupid is the amount of men and idiot women who comment "you need a boyfriend" as if my obsession with a, empirically proven to be a stunning crowd favorite, dog negates the idea that I have a love life and have been dating or am currently dating. So because you don't see a man in my life there must not be one? Or a few? Or any? Then for that matter, if we are basing views on what you see on Instagram, then I also don't brush my teeth or have parents... Since I don't show you that. Also? Atoms don't exist, right? Because you can't see them on Instagram. If people are out there who would say something as stupid as that statement, then why would I give you the luxury of sharing with you someone I love or like a lot? I'm here to make you laugh and, at times, make a point. I'm saying this for women everywhere because the "crazy cat lady" label is one that society loves to apply to any woman over 25 who has made her own choices and life and isn't married. Who gives a fuck. Way I see it, you're just jealous. We need to place value on women by what they create not by how fast they can be attached to someone so society doesn't think they are losers. Marriage is wonderful but stop shaming women who didn't make that choice yet. Until I like someone enough to want to share them with the world, guess you're just gonna have to put up with me posting pictures of my rescue dog... And my tv show...and my book...and my web series... And my sold out shows. I know girls aren't supposed to brag because it upsets people but, I don't know... Suck it? I'm going to Mexico. Merry Christmas. Also? #BLANCHElivesMatter also? I made a million dollars because of stand up last year, I don't care how that makes you feel ?? PS- guarantee the first negative comments on here will be from men- I'll go even more specific and bet they have pictures of cars in their profiles and something having to do with beer or screen grabs of bass they caught or something.
