Kudos to #lonelyplanet writer/photographer @stuartbutler1974, who was recently shortlisted as one of the finalists in two different categories of the prestigious 2015 Travel Photographer of the Year competition.
From thousands of entries, two of his were selected for the final few, in their respective categories. Here's one of those shots from him, shortlisted for the 'Water' category. It depicts pilgrims crossing temporary pontoon bridges during the Maha Kumbh Mela festival in Allahabad, India in 2013.
He didn't end up winning but he "was utterly ecstatic to have got that far". To find out more about who did win, see the link in our bio.
