Here we are living it up in Jamaica (with the @littlemissparty boys) and I'm struggling with how to teach my kids to really appreciate all they're getting over the holidays. Mazzy just had her birthday and Hanukkah overlap so the amount of presents were obscene, and then she got upset when she found out there was not going to be ANOTHER windfall at Christmas. While we were in the airport about to board the plane for our big family vacation, mind you. I wrote the biggest "first world problems" blog post ever but it's a real concern. Am I screwing my kids up by giving them too much over the holidays? How do you create a healthy balance between giving and getting so your kids don't turn into greedy monsters?
