NEWS: All Blacks Specialist Skills Coach Mick Byrne has announced he's leaving the All Blacks to take up a sports and education mentoring role with school leavers in Australia. Byrne, who has been with the All Blacks since 2005, helped the team to numerous successes over the years, including the back to back Rugby World Cup wins in 2011 and 2015, three Grand Slams and Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship successes and his specialist coaching, especially kicking, has been invaluable to numerous players over the years, with Dan Carter saying: "Mick 'The Kick' has played a big part in my success." All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen said: "Mick has been a major contributor to the All Blacks over many years now. He is one of the best in the world at what he does. He will be a hard man to replace but he has a great opportunity going forward and we support his decision and wish him the very, very best." Congratulations and best wishes, Mick!
