Of course that he was referring to his social status, but it can also be taken on an Existential way. My real father, not the biological fool, used to say that we are bubbles of awareness traveling through space and time, not on a linear way, but in a spiral way: One keeps seeing the same thing but from a different height, and of course, the view changes. The view is not the same from the window of your house than from a window of a plane in mid air. Our awareness keeps expanding and expanding until the limits disappear, that's what my real father would say. And this applies to everything, including all kinds of relationships. When you start a business, romantic or friendly relationship, you have something in common with the other part, but sometimes one outgrows the other and things start to be seen from different perspectives. Again, the higher one is, the broader the view. Why do I say this? Because we all get frustrated at the behaviour of others since one can not conceive that they are not getting the point.
