Last year did an expedition with @mornehardenberg where our target subject were #MAKO #SHARKS which we located some 50 miles off the coast of #SOUTHAFRICA it is always very ethereal when you dive out in open ocean where the depths are 3000-5000ft deep. Nothing but blue with nothing to gauge depth or direction except each other, the sharks and our chum box. When sharks come in to investigate a person, they circle a diver. If you circle with them, you don't realize unless your aware, that they are usually taking you down in a spiral. You can easily find yourself go from 40ft to a depth of 100ft in the matter of a few seconds. You stop and look around realizing your really deep and alone, in a very deep Ocean. Mako sharks are very challenging to photograph due to their incredible speed and the way they zig zag through the water. @taschenbooks @wildaid @seashepherd @shark_explorers @sharkspotters
