About the Shot - Wedding Day SUP: We wanted to do something different than your standard #wedding photos and I got this wild idea to paddle in the #HalfMoonBay harbor in our wedding clothes.  This was actually the plan, to get a #GoPro shot like this but when our wedding photographers heard what we were doing they tagged along and shot some more pics for free.  They got some cool shots, but I definitely like the stuff from my GoPro the best because it was so up close and personal on such a special day in our lives and also captured something that my #wife and I love to do, #SUP wherever we can.
How the Shot was Captured: Typically when I’m paddling, I just set my GoPro to .5s #timelapse mode and let it run. As you can see I have one camera mounted on the #paddle using a GoPro Bar Mount and then I have a second camera mounted to the front of the #paddleboard using a #Surf Mount. Plenty of shots hit the cutting room floor but we got some gold and it was super easy to capture. That’s the beauty of the hands free mounts and a mode like timelapse ‘cause you will almost always come away with some good shots even if you don’t take the time to set it up.  I definitely “produce” some shots and set things up but often times I just let it roll and see what I get.  It was actually pretty windy on this day and I nearly fell in a couple times in my rented tux.  I am sure they were wondering why there was some sand in the pants after I turned it in…haha
