We get many visits from terminally ill children down at the training ground and today I had a visit from Matt, the father of Oscar a young boy who very sadly passed away 18 months ago, his last wish was to come and watch Chelsea train and doctors had said he only had 3 months to live, we had a great day and made some amazing memories, Oscar became my little mate and we stayed in contact texting and talking,his dad told me that night his mum put her boy to sleep and Oscar said to his Mum "I wish I could be happy like this every day" Oscar carried on fighting and lived for another 14 months,Matt told me today that I and Chelsea had a huge part in making his dreams come true.
Matt very kindly gave me some framed pictures today and we cried, laughed and reminisced of the great memories.
Thanks Matt and RIP my little mate, I know your watching every game and cheering on the chels.
We miss you ?
