ASIAN GRILLED SHRIMP

The lime browned butter sauce drizzled with sweet soy is a ripper of a flavour combination! Make it on the grill or in a skillet.

INGREDIENTS
1lb fresh shrimp, peeled (about 8oz peeled)
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp vegetable oil
⅓ cup salted butter
¾ to 1 tsp tsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
1 lime, large
.
DIRECTIONS
1 Combine shrimp, garlic and oil in a bowl, set aside for 15 minutes.
2 Melt butter over medium heat in small fry pan or saucepan. Swirl it, don’t stir it. Let it foam until the butter turns brown and smells nutty. Pour into jug immediately, leaving behind brown specks.
3 Heat skillet over high heat (no oil), add shrimp and cook.
4 Pile shrimp onto a plate, drizzle over butter , zest and juice of the lime. Drizzle very lightly with sweet soy sauce .
5 Garnish with cilantro leaves and fresh chili if desired.
