DAY NINE of our advent calendar is #JohnGalliano's return to fashion with his debut collection for @Maison Margiela Artisanal.
Anticipation was – to put it mildly – incredibly high. Only about 100 people had been invited to the show, and Galliano's decision to show in London was a personal one. It marked a return to his "formative years and his beginnings in the industry".
Though the setting was minimal like Margiela, the collection was elaborate and typically Galliano. (January, 2015)
