On Nov 11th, the #Oracle Women’s Leadership (#OWL) HQ group invited Mary Ann Davidson, Oracle’s Chief Security Officer, to share her stories of facing changes and challenges in life and in the workforce. The event had 50 Oracle team members attend and was held at the Oracle Conference Center.
Mary Ann began the discussion with an analysis of the fear of change and what holds us back from accomplishing goals. She emphasized the importance of knowing the real you and being true to that person, and determining what is important to you.
She ended with a call-to-action: At this moment, pick one thing you've always wanted to do and go for it. After a lively Q&A session, attendees networked with each other and discussed how they would go about taking the first step towards something they wanted to accomplish.
The attendees said they loved Mary Ann's candid and authentic message, and found inspiration in it to enrich their lives as an individual. An attendee commented that the “down-to-earth presentation by an Oracle exec gave us insight on work and life balance.” #lifeatOracle #OracleWomen
