#FROMTHEINSIDEOUT - My personal transformation is much more than just skin deep. Coming from a home that was broken and having experienced every abuse you can think of, (physical, mental, verbal and sexual), I resorted to drinking starting at age 12. I am not talking about 1 drink, I am talking about to the point of blacking out with the intention of numbing pain that I didn’t understand. Coming up in this type of environment and being taken away from my brothers and sisters because my mom and I would get in physical fights, I was forced to move away and I moved in with my dad. - I can remember moving from school to school and never having close friends because as a family we never stayed long enough to make any. Therefore I was never able to “fit in” because I was always the new girl, which can be a nightmare for someone that age. I remember being so fed up with being the new girl that my senior year in high school I had to graduate from home school because I refused to go to public school due to the pressure of trying to fit in. Something I'm still embarrassed about even to this day. - At this time I remember being so numb to life that I would cut my wrists to feel that I was actually alive still. I never understood why people did it until I was at this point in my life. I took up the habit of smoking nearly a pack a day. I smoked for 4 years as a mean to alleviate stress or so I thought. - I have been faced with obstacles you wouldn't begin to understand and have overcome a lot in this journey called life. I continue to fight to be the best me every single day. Most people often look at someone and judge a book by its cover. Thinking "oh she’s perfect," but that is not the case at all. We must remember that everyone is fighting their own battles everyday and it is our job as a human being to be understanding and show love no matter what. - I encourage all of you to share your stories and to not be ashamed of your past or current struggles. You never know how you can affect someone. - TAG SOMEONE TO INSPIRE✨ #TheFighter #Neverjudgeabookbyitscover
