In my interview for Spain's biggest weekly magazine "Interviu", they asked me if I've always been so confident. I had to laugh, because i am still trying to find confidence! I explained my painfully awkward preteen years - scrawny and shy with crooked teeth and crooked glasses - and how when my curves finally decided to show up i found confidence in suddenly being able to love my own body. But the truth is, in many ways modeling has been a constant test of my self-confidence. It's a kind of battle that i fight, struggling to love myself exactly the way i am. But it's not myself that I'm battling against - I'm fighting FOR MySelf against an industry where "you're not enough" is heard far more often than "you're beautiful". It's taken me so long to learn how to ignore the rejection and love my self again, for everything that i am and everything I'm not - whether it's enough for them or not.
