Hi, my name is Teeger. Thanksgiving week is about giving thanks for what we have. I’m very sad to say that me, my sister, Abby, and brother, Ryder, don’t have much to be thankful for because of what was done to us in the hands of a “doctor.” We were declawed in May by a 30 yr member @AVMAvets veterinarian who was also a member of the AAFP and CVMA (California Veterinary Medical Assoc.) It was done at an AAHA hospital. The owner of the hospital and the AVMA vet, BOTH talked our owners out of using soft paws and said declawing is a standard procedure and that there are no negative consequences and that we would be ok. Due to complications from the declaws, I’ve had to have most of my paws amputated, my brother Ryder still has a cone on and is fighting to save one of his paws, and my sister Abby has had both paws completely amputated. We are constantly in pain and are suffering more than anyone should ever have to.
