About the Shot - #Camping out on the #Oregon Coast: Long #exposure at night combined with a window view of a haystack rock out in the ocean made this a memorable photo from this camping spot. I used a Jaws Flex mount on a tree branch, and the GoPro App on my phone to get the perfect framing. After a ton of test shoots, I finally got the exposure how I wanted.
How the Shot was Captured: When the lighting on a shot is really dynamic and tricky like this one, I like to test a bunch of different settings to see what looks the best. Using the #GoProApp on my mobile device lets me test and check all of my shots instantly so I can quickly dial in my settings to achieve the best image possible. I ended up using #NightPhoto, Protune: Enabled, shutter speed 20s, Iso Limit 200 (to tame the bright light from the camp fire) #GoPro Color, Whitebalance 3000k, sharpening: Medium.
