Today marks The Duke of Edinburgh's and The Queen's 68th wedding anniversary. #HappyAnniversaryHMandHRH

Their wedding day, at Westminster Abbey, was fairly simple, as Britain was still recovering from the war, and the Princess had to collect clothing coupons for her dress, like any other young bride.

The happy couple spent their honeymoon at Broadlands in Hampshire (where these photographs were taken) and Birkhall, Balmoral.
