I received notice in just the last week, that 6 veterinary practices in Canada have made the humane and right choice to stop declawing kitties at their practices and I’m excited to put them on my no declaw list on my website CitytheKitty.com so you all can take your business to them if you live in those areas.
American vets, it looks like the humane winds of change for the good are blowing stronger in Canada and vets over there are realizing that they can only honor the oath they took to heal and help animals if they stop declawing and mutilating cat's paws. Wake up American vets who amputate kitties toe bones and claws. You all are a complete embarrassment to that noble profession if you keep doing this inhumane and horrific procedure. And STOP with your weak and shameful excuses as to why you must keep declawing an option. There is NEVER a reason to do it and the humane alternatives to declawing are always successful.
If you live in NY or know people who live there, please have them sign the form on the link on my Instagram profile, and help us pass the bill to ban declawing in that state.
Declawing is banned in most of the rest of the world because it is so cruel, disabling, and inhumane.
