SENIOR SUNDAY! "Hi, how are you? Just in case you didn't know, Instagram has lost one of it's very favourite dogs, my darling Bindi, who passed away last Thursday 29 October aged 13-3/4 years. The outpouring of love for her all over the world is simply amazing. You featured Bindi this year on a Senior Sunday and she received almost 50,000 likes which is incredible for an older dog. However, Bindi was extremely active and I tried to make her account continually positive, funny and upbeat.

She passed away as a result of a cancer called hemangiosarcoma. I have since learned that there are countless other people who have also lost dogs to this insidious type of cancer. It is very aggressive. We discovered it in May this year and immediately started Bindi on chemotherapy which helped her live a further 5 months quite happily with fantastic energy right up until her last few days. People love stories and Bindi's lifebook is huge. She loved sailing, surfing, chasing birds and model airplanes, she detected dolphins and whales at sea for us on our yacht, and was involved in every aspect of our lives for nearly 14 years.

It would be wonderful if you could feature Bindi again and ask your followers to perhaps make a donation if they desire at the below website for research into canine cancer. So many dog owners on Instagram have either gone through this or will go through it sadly. I would love to make a difference.
