In her new movie, “Secret in Their Eyes,” Julia Roberts was meant to be a man. Her character in this noirish murder thriller — originally an Oscar-winning Argentine drama — was written as a man who loses his wife. But in the American remake, it is Julia who loses a family member, this time her daughter. “You’re drawn to things as an actor that have as much of an arc as possible,” the 48-year-old actress told @ニューヨーク・タイムズ. “I don’t know how much resolve I had or could portray when I was 20. I think it’s a kind of a gift that comes with age, that you get more complexities to play.” @brinsonbanks photographed #JuliaRoberts in Santa Monica, California. Posing solo, the Oscar award-winning actress said “I always feel like a jackass.” “Secret in Their Eyes” opens next Friday.
