I want to apologize to the sharks publicly. I was looking through my images and realized I had done something that is exactly what I am trying to stop, the DEMONIZING of sharks. I let Discovery Channel use my imagery for their 25th ANV of #sharkweek with the tag line "YOU'D BE BAIT". Might seem like a small thing but it's huge to me. That line just re-enforces the FEAR which is so far from the truth. We are not bait, never have been. From now on I will ALWAYS ask anyone using my imagery of sharks what the "writing" will say. So I sm very relieved I caught this myself instead of someone pointing it out to me cause that would just make the guilt I feel now morph with anger which sucks. Maybe one year shark week will stop airing ALL the programming which is so rooted in FEAR and put some conservation up, but that's not my business. So I am very SORRY sharks, it won't EVER happen again. #amends #truth #neverbait #changeyourperception
