I have known @tristaneaton for over a decade. His skills as a designer, illustrator, linguistic agitator, and muralist have always impressed me in their designated contexts, but what impresses me about his newest paintings on walls and canvases is that all of these skills, rather than remaining disparate, merge harmoniously. Like the stylistic fearlessness, astounding detail, and technical mastery of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” each of Tristan’s new murals and canvases is its own dense but beautiful bohemian rhapsody.
