I played the piano on "She Used To Be Mine" one afternoon when we realized that the upright piano we had already recorded wasn’t going to have enough body and grandeur for the sound we were looking for. We sent the band on a walk and I sat at the piano in the tracking room and most of what is on the record is the first time I played it through. The band came back from their break and played to that, and I think we were finished in about 4 takes. It was a magical moment.
