A suitable day for a ghostly tale...Deep underneath the streets of Paris, there are miles of dark passageways known as the Catacombs. In 1793 Philibert Aspairt, a hospital doorkeeper, came down here via a staircase in his hospital's courtyard, and got lost. His body was found 11 years later, identified only by the keys that were hanging from his belt. He was buried where he was found, but his ghost is said to still be looking for the way out. So if you ever visit the Catacombs and hear keys rattling in the darkness behind you, make sure you know where the exit is.
