Extremely disappointed that I had to WD from the event here in China this morning... I suffered a muscle strain/possible muscle tear in my right oblique hitting out of the rough on Hole 8 during the final round in Taiwan on Sunday. I havent hit a ball since, but tried to warm up this morning to see if I could manage the pain, but the pain was too intense to take any risks. It is the first time WD from a tournament in 7 years on tour and first time being sidelined with an injury.
As an athlete, I push myself to the limits on a daily bases and this time my body gave in. I send my greatest apologies to the Blue Bay LPGA and the organizers of this event, that I was unable to compete this year. I look forward to come back here next year and I appreciate all the messages and support. I cant wait to get healthy again and be back out here competing. #Iwillbeback #recovery #imonlyhuman
