Olivia Wilde has recently stated that she would love to portray Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel for Marvel Studios and that she is a huge fan of the MCU. She followed up her excitement with her opinion on female superheroes. "The thing with female superheroes is that, in order to be powerful, they are flawless. There is something to be said for a female director working to create a female superhero that perhaps has a little more complexity. I think the way these Marvel heroes are written, the female superheroes included, do have complexity and flaws. But I think when they are translated into film, the women become these ultimate goddesses of perfection." She then went on to say that she feels it would be fun to bring the character's backstory to life. If Wilde did become Marvel's Carol Danvers, her fans have suggested that she be directed in the film by Reed Morano. Morano directed Wilde in "Meadowland" and shares Wilde's sentiments about female superheroes. So what do you think? Agree with Wilde?
