The African lion is in precipitous decline according to latest research. We've been saying numbers were as low as 15000-20000 for years now but were told by 'informed people' that the numbers were around 30000-35000. Why would you continue to allow trophy hunting of lions when there is evidence showing how vulnerable the species is? What message is being sent??
