This week's "Wednesday Evening" features Shira and Ariel, who live outside of Chicago with three kids. Shira is a corporate attorney and Ariel is an at-home dad. I asked Ariel about his decision to wear a "Dads Don't Babysit" t-shirt for the shoot and he said, "“Frequently when out with the kids, dads get comments like ‘babysitting today, huh?’ or ‘giving Mommy the day off?’ If you’re a parent, you can’t babysit your own kids! We don’t get paid and we don’t get to walk away at the end of the night. Parenting is a full-time gig, not a part-time job until the significant other gets home.” Read their full story on the blog.
