This was my first time I ever carved a pumpkin. This might look like a peaceful moment captured but it was quite an ordeal to get this shot. I carved a perfect ribbon shape on my first pumpkin and painted in baby pink. It survived from a lid thief (the lids on the other pumpkins were gone the next day! ?) As the day went by, my pumpkin started to shrink, mold then rot. ? .
I carved the second one just like the first one at my friend's house. While transporting it back to my house, I managed to drop this second pumpkin and crack the face. Luckily I was able to cover up the cracks. I painted it in pink again and Cooper decided it was fun to stick his head in it. He ended up with a pink ear. (He looked quite pretty)

Yesterday I got everything loaded in my Jeep, including my fragile pumpkin in my passenger seat. On the way to the shooting site, a car in front of me slammed on the break. As I stepped on my break, I watched my precious pumpkin, which by the way was not wearing a seatbelt, went rolling forward. The lid was already on the floor of my Jeep. With my ninja like reflexes, I stuck my hand inside the pumpkin and saved it from being destroyed. My heart was racing.
By then the sun was starting to set in the horizon. No time to make it to the original site. As I drove, I prayed for just one good picture... I pulled over to a deserted field I spotted. I had a few minutes to stage everything before the sun went down. Again, the pumpkin didn't cooperate and refused to stand straight. Well, Jazzy helped me by holding it with her paw. Then she smiled as usual. And I got the shot. Gosh I love her.
