Today myself, @コソヴァレ・アスラニ and @schelin_official went to visit a transit home for the young refugees that arrive alone in #Sweden. Roughly 500 kids live here.

They greeted us in the best possible way and were so kind to us throughout our visit. We wrote autographs, asked them about their stories, did some football tricks together and we saw them play @easportsfifa and taught them that they can play as us next time.

We got a good understanding of how life are for these kids. Some of them lost their families by a border control, hoping to be reunited. Other stories are even more tragic. Still they keep their energy as best they can and the staff try their best to keep them going.

It is very humbling to learn how life is and how it has been and I am very thankful for the opportunity to come and visit this place. Right now they have two laundry machines. Soon the kids will get two pairs of socks each and many of them only own the clothes they wear.

Many of us share the love for football and hopefully we can play a role in the integration of these kids, starting with a crowded game between Sweden and Denmark tomorrow evening.

It feels so important to be able to see a kid in the eye and to be able to say, you are welcome here, now you can feel safe.
