There’s a man behind that phone, in full body paint. To his right, is artist David Gilmore (@デヴィッド・ギルモア). To his left, Selena Gomez (@セレーナ・ゴメス). They’ve come together to celebrate the pop star’s new album “Revival,” which is all about owning who you are, with no apologies. After the record dropped last week, Selena asked fans for their own revival stories — and got David and his friend Jesse’s creation in response.
“Revival, to me, is about setting your creativity free, and what truly fuels and fires you,” says David, who worked at an ad agency before pursuing art full time. “And this body painting is definitely a snapshot of my creative process.”
“My generation, they’re eager to be heard and tell their stories,” says Selena. “I’ve lived my life in front of everyone. And I have wanted to give up so many times. But when I hear their stories, it reminds me of wanting and needing to be a voice for these people too.” #REVIVALStories
