Spent the last few days saying thank you to someone who helped us so much during such a difficult time. If you watched #chasingmaria I'm sure you remember "aunt nancy"...she was just diagnosed with terminal cancer. We held her hand, @undergaro gave foot/hand rubs, Jason sang show tunes and @iamjoegear was on water refill duty. We all had our jobs & were honored to have the opportunity to do them. I learned a lot, first -be there. I remember when my grandmother was ill with cancer I was 22 & scared to leave my job to go see her in Greece. Lesson learned. This time I jumped the moment I heard. Second-people remember things on their deathbed...nance recalled so many special moments from when I said she taught me everything about film while appearing on Turner Classics w/Robert Osborne to similar examples. Remember to highlight and acknowledge special people in your life in any way you can, it means more than you know sometimes. And lastly, that life is short..what's it about? The people you loved and loved you back. In the end, you can't take any of your material processions with you. All you have are the people by your side in the end to give you safe passage. The people you invested your time and love into. Aunt Nance meant so much to all of us, she was fearless when danger followed us, Light when light was absent.
She took us all In during our time of need without question or requests. #forevergrateful
