The sentiments that have spurred much of my advocacy for social change. I think speaking up can start as the smallest thing. If you're someone who stays silent on issues that you feel you shouldn't, start small in breaking the silence. A retweet, posting an article, a regram, etc. It may be uncomfortable at first but the response will usually inform exactly why you can't stay silent. Whether it's a response from those who are hateful or those who find great comfort in your support, you must know that no voice is too small to make a difference. The conversations that you have today, both in real life and on social media, can have a real impact on people's thoughts and actions, sometimes years down the road. Be brave my lovelies.
