In advance I apologize for shitty grammar and spelling and general "A.D.D.-ness" about to happen in this post. Ten years ago my mom started a medical clinic in the mountains of the Dominican Republic. The initial goal was to bring basic mental and physical health care to those who desperately needed it. The first team consisted of my mom, dad, baby 13 year old me, and a small group of doctors...(crazy I know, cause of the whole part where I was a child and also not a doctor). Anywayyyy. What started out as a few doctors simply trying to help other people, ended up growing into multiple medical clinics throughout the DR and Haiti. Thousands of lives have been saved, some simply by receiving medicine as basic as Benadryl, and some by having access to surgeries they otherwise would never have been able to afford! Now, I may play a superhero on TV, but I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on my beautiful mom and her fellow doctors who selflessly give everything they have to these families, just because it's the right thing to do. They are the real superheroes. They are the ones who should be walking down red carpets and have people screaming their names. The world is so confusing sometimes. This stunning little lady pictured is just one of the thousands of people @afhbenefit has treated, she's also the most beautiful human I have ever seen agh!! So yes guys, As you can see this organization is incredibly near and dear to my heart.
