Reflecting on this past weekend puts a huge smile on my face. Competing felt surprisingly great! I haven't felt so steady and stable mentally or physically in a long time. I loved feeling the energy and support of the always wonderful Japanese audience!
Carnival on Ice was on another level. Beyond my own performance, getting to witness this woman and her amazing dancers perform live as well as introduce them to the audience was a moment that defies words. Plus seeing our two worlds come together in that finale, with all the hard work Yuka put into it (that I was lucky enough to assist her with), go off with out a hitch was incredible. I feel like this collaboration could open up so many new opportunities for the future. Thank you Koharu for stepping into our world, thank you Yuka for letting me be a part of this (and of course for everything else!), thank you Japan for always supporting me and making me feel at home, thank you to my teammates for working hard and being awesome, and thank you to the ISU, JSF, IMG, TV Tokyo, and all the officials, staff and volunteers for making such a fantastic event!
