Wow... Today was something... Thinking about it and processing it. Thank you @nappytabs @suavo for a wonderful day! Dancing in front of this beautiful woman @ジェニファー・ロペス for half of a day was special. Special to me because i grew up listening to her albums and watching all of her tv performances, videos, behind the scenes... Yes, she was my idol and I'm so lucky I got to work with her few years ago. But today was different. She really saw my dance talent and didn't let me go home until the very end, when only few girls were standing in the line and at that moment I felt such a happiness and gratefulness for all these opportunities that Los Angeles is giving me... Unfortunately, I can't change my height and body type and I knew from the start that booking her Vegas show would be a challenge but hey, I still went to the audition, danced my soul out on the dance floor and fighting till the end! Knowing I left home because of my hight and not because of the lack of my movement is, of course, bitter sweet but in other way I left inspired and motivated, specially because of her kind words she gave me at the end and her hesitation of letting me go.
I'm writing this because I know how hard it is for so many short dancers here in LA and I'm dealing with it, trust me, all the time but jobs that are meant to be for you, will come. What's important is that no one can take your spark away when you dance, your passion, your presence and love towards dancing, that's why never give up on yourself and keep on shinning in your own light! Embrace who you are and let your soul inspire people around you! U might not get the job but u can leave an impact on people who's watching you, move their hearts and make them dance.
