They are coming for you. You could be an athlete, run a business or just be minding your own business, doesn't matter. I don't know if they hate you, fear you or just want what you have, but I know they're gunning for you right now.
So prepare for war.
You know the familiar movements of hate. They peck at you from behind. They hunker down, out of sight, & take their shots from a distance. They woo your allies and win over the fickle & fake. They prod your defenses, searching for weakness.

Do not fear them. Don't even pay attention to them. They are followers. Their only danger is distraction. There is but one adversary you should fear, & that is the one willing to out work you. But that, dear reader, is entirely in your control.

Assuming you're ready to work, here's the key to sustained success - become antifragile. Grow stronger from every attack. To accomplish this, you must do two things: 1) Center yourself on constant, never ending improvement. 2) Maintain control of your agenda.
Your adversaries can make you antifragile if you let them. By nature they seek out your weaknesses. When they find one, don't deny it. Adapt. If you're ever evolving, even the most vicious assault merely reveals another opportunity for growth.
Do NOT learn the enemy's ways. To attack from behind, first they must follow. Learning their ways is to learn the ways of the follower. That is a poor use of time. Instead, attack your objectives ferociously & with cunning. Stay in the lead by pushing your skills forward. A moving target is far more difficult to hit.
As long as you define the rules of the game, not even the most skilled opponent can hope to vanquish you. The key is to keep them guessing & make it clear that they are playing your game - THEY are chasing YOU. If you can do that, you have already won. Though they will briefly continue to fight, they are already dead.
Do not ever mistake a fast follower for a true leader. If you are focused on evolving as rapidly as success demands it you will naturally walk the path of the leader. Your enemies will be left to follow. And any animal that follows can be led to slaughter.
