Looking through old photos. Came across this one. The first time I performed my song "In Love With The DJ" I remember the feeling in my stomach. Something btwn that butterfly feeling & wanting to throw up. I had zero prep time I was asked the night before if I wanted to perform at the Latin Mixx Awards & all I could tell myself was "Jessenia it's now or never". I had no back up dancers, no routine no costume designer it was just me & I will never forget the flashes, the cheers, the applause & I will never forget seeing my mother n father holding each other in tears of pride n joy. "In Love With The DJ" was a self independent protect I decided to take on w close friends. I'm still so very proud of it.
