“Absolutely the best trout fishing in the country. No exaggeration,” Ernest Hemingway wrote to a friend about Petoskey, a coastal resort town in northern Michigan where he spent his first 21 summers. When most people think of #Hemingway, they probably think of Havana, Key West, Ketchum, Paris, Pamplona. #Petoskey? Not so much. But Hemingway would eventually pack those summers — time spent fishing, hunting, drinking, chasing girls and doing nothing — into his fiction. Following in the writer's footsteps for @nytimestravel, @ackermangruber photographed Petoskey, where she spotted this group with fishing poles walking along Little Traverse Bay. #regram
