#RoyalFact Inveraray Castle was designed by the same architect of @blenheimpalace. Sadly Vanburgh died before the build, but it was his sketch that inspired the castle that we know today. It is now the home of Torquhil Campbell, 13th Duke of Argyll, who resides at Inverary Castle, is the representative of HM Queen Elizabeth II in #Scotland & ambassador of Royal Salute
Royal Salute is delighted to be dinning at the historical Castle as part of an aristocratic experience created by Michelin-starred chef Martin Wisharts. The Castle stands on the shores of Loch Fyne in Scotland, and has done since the 1400s, transcending its rich heritage and legacy through generations. Royal Salute is inspired by this cultural haven, home to curiosities such as exquisite Oriental and European porcelain.
It is also famously where part of the historical British drama #DowntonAbbey was filmed! #Scotland
