SENIOR SUNDAY! @susiesseniordogs wants to know: have you ever considered adopting a senior dog?

Remember Wilson from last week? He got adopted IMMEDIATELY! Hip hip hooray! "Wilson is settling in just fine. A few growls while my 11 year old lab Henry and Wilson get acquainted, but I have high hopes for these two. All Wilson wants is to please us and be loved. The shelter really did not know Wilson's story but from the sores on his legs and his extremely arched back it seems he may have been stuck in a kennel for most of his life. The first night we put him in a crate, he was so sad and just wanted out, we let him howl through it and eventually he fell asleep. Well, the second night, after seeing first hand how he really needed Henry by his side, we brought him upstairs with us (which it was obvious he has never climbed up or down stairs before) he was so happy to be by Henry. He slept on his bed on the floor all night and something tells me last night was the best nights rest he has had in a very very long time!

I have taken him out for many walks with Henry and he never leaves Henry's side, when Henry stops, Wilson stops, when Henry trots, Wilson trots. Henry is his security blanket and it is pretty amazing to watch the dynamics between these two. Wilson needs to learn a few manners, but we are determined and willing to teach him and welcome him to living The Good Life!"
