Tokyo-based rock band Roth Bart Baron (@rothbartbaron) began experimenting with time-lapse video during its tour of America in 2014. Visually, the clips are fun and fascinating — turning simple, everyday moments, like standing on a subway platform, into something more playful. Overall, the videos not only capture the band’s attitude, but the experience the members had while traveling in the States.
“Wherever we went, when meeting people for the first time, they’d all keenly take interest in our music, and as long as we played well we’d get a great reaction,” says vocalist Masaya Mifune. “They had an open mind, so even if they didn’t understand Japanese they’d at least take away the feeling from the songs. That was a fantastic experience.”
