I had a very special angel placed in my life today- a random NYC taxi driver from Bangladesh. He affirmed all of my recent choices to slow down and focus on my life, my health and my family. We talked of love, family, marriage, children and what matters most in life. He expressed his excitement about going home to meet his wife and the beauty of a wedding in his culture. We talked about American culture and money and the things that money can't buy. He had no idea how important our chat was to me. I hid my tears in the backseat. It was only a moment- a casual conversation between two kindred spirits. At the end of the ride- as we pulled up to JFK, he said "I will remember this day forever, because you are good. You are a good person." "You are too", I said. "You are too!".
