The colorful rocks of #LakeMcDonald in #GlacierNationalPark are incredibly unique and a scene I've wanted to photograph for a long time. To be here now is amazing, it's so much prettier then I had imagined. Shooting this photo was a little tricky - I knew I wanted to shoot a twilight "over and under" of the submerged rocks and mountains in the distance, balancing the exposure was tricky. I needed a @leefilters split ND and high power strobes to light up the water. I could have gone the underwater camera housing route but instead I went full DYI, using a $15 fish aquarium. It's as ridiculous as it sounds but did the trick! To see a small behind the scenes check out @andyaustinphoto - shot #onassigment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック
