"The #Fender bass was really the reason rock and roll was created in the first place. You can imagine the sound of an early Precision Bass in a bar when all anyone ever heard was a stand-up bass. I think with iconic models in the P Bass and the Jazz Bass, there was enough room to really express yourself. I have owned many classic Fender basses, and they really evoke the same thing. There is a voice that is very similar, just a sensibility and a feel. It's a classic piece, and there's no need to sort of go anywhere else."
