Not only has legendary driver Vic Elford raced every version of the 917, he has also set speed and lap records at Le Mans for sports cars at 247 mph in a 917. Among many other impressive racing achievements, Vic was also the high speed 917 driver in the film, "Le Mans" and started the Porsche Sport Driving School in the '70's.
