generosity: kind, abundant, open-handed.
for some, generosity feels natural, familiar.
for some generosity slips into over-extension, over-giving, lack of being able to receive.
for some generosity is lost, for our fear that there is not enough to go around, our fear of scarcity..that life somehow won’t provide for us…stops us.
i would say that generosity, and our ability to receive it, or give from it…has so much to do with our sense of worth, our sense of abundance or scarcity, and the sweet vulnerability of offering…of being vulnerable in the receiving, and the awareness of the knowledge that we are inextricably linked…so what we give to or deny others of, we give and deny ourselves. and that the back and forth cyclical nature of giving and receiving is a cycle that keeps the movement of life alive. generosity keeps us in the movement of our aliveness, of life.
