Today is the 14th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks. In New York, events are scheduled throughout the day to pay tribute to those who died and to honor the emergency workers. Though commuters went along their normal morning rush downtown near the National #911Memorial and Museum, there were solemn signs this morning was a little different. At the bronze panels surrounding the reflecting pools, which marked the footprint of the towers, stems of roses and carnations — as well as a few Irish flags — had been wedged into etched letters of the names of victims.
